They use to call it "Winston Cup" because it was sponsered by Winston, now, they changed it to "Nextel" cup, because nextel phones sponsers them

It's a communist plot originated in the old U.S.S.R., where Stalin decided to spell everything backwards to thwart the attempts of the capitalist pigs. By that logic, Nextel actually means "Let X En." Stalin misspelled "en," because he meant "in," and his devious message was targeted to let his fabled Racer X into the stadium to race against Speed Racer. Unforutantely, Racer X was killed by Speed Racer in the infamous Trans-European Race Against Death of 1977, where Racer X accidentally drove off a cliff and fell to his watery grave. Only later did Speed Racer realize that Racer X was his long-lost brother from another mother. Sad, huh?
