Yes they can, they just need to make sure that they monitor their blood pressure every once in awhile. The doctor or nurse at the clinic will check for blood pressure every prenatal visit. If high blood pressure persists during labor, a C-section might be performed to minimize the risks for the mother.

Absolutely. I had two with this condition, and had no issues whatsoever. I carried my son for 41 weeks, and I carried my daughter for 39 weeks. Both healthy, big babies, normal deliveries.

The key is your diet. Do not omit salt. Salt your foods to taste. Eat a lot of green leafy vegetables, uncooked. Your baby NEEDS salt to develop and you need it to balance your fluids during the gestation period. Take a liquid calcium-magnesium supplement (preferably elemental) daily, and rest all you can within reason. Drink plenty of water. Take whatever medicine your doctor prescribes. Pray.

Now why is it that women who are perfect in health, manage to get pre-eclampsia? Their BP rises to where mine would be "normal" (for me) and they wind up in the hospital in distress and have to undergo C-section to save their baby. It's all in God's hands. He ultimately has the upper hand in every thing. So, pray.

You may want to ask your Dr this question. They will always keep monitoring your blood pressure throughout your pregnancy...
