be nice with him and tell him u are not available. and don`t give him hopes. u can talk to him about the type of guys u like or tell him u see him as a great friend :) try to be cold and distant but not rude. he will understand the idea if he`s smart enough

Don't make any eye contact with him. Don't look in his direction even to see if he is staring at you.
If it intensifies, you may have to tell him you are not interested.

You do tell that guy frankly that you have a reason not to go out with him. If he asks why, you would answer that you don't know.
