tea length...between your knee and your ankle. Don't they usually tell you what you're going to wear when you're in a wedding party?
If you get to choose, that pick a dress in a summery color..a pale pink, a pale blue - nothing too bold.

If you are a member of the wedding party you need to ask the bride what she would like you to wear. If she doesn't care, than a long dress is more appropriate for a formal wedding, but try on whatever you like and buy what you feel good in. Look for something that has a removable jacket or coat with a sleeveless or short sleeved dress. That way, you could possibly get another wearing out of it if you have another formal event in a colder season.

This is what I would do if I were in your situation. If everyone else is wearing long dresses you should too. The bride is letting you find a dress that makes you look & feel good by wearing it. I would ask the bride personally about a strapless dress (if her dress is strapless she may want you to have some sort of strap, even if it is a tiny spaghetti strap)

Wear a dress that's short in the front and gets longer in the back. That way you can wear a short and long dress and not have to worry about it.
Also, about the strapless part, go with what you feel is right.
If you can't decide, go with a one-shoulder dress. It's strapless, yet it has one strap.

If you're in the wedding party of a formal wedding, then you will wear the bridesmaids dress that the bride chooses for you and that you then pay for. Hopefully, she will consult you first to make sure you like it!

For a formal wedding, a longer dress is probably more suitable.

It does not matter. you can wear either long or short. Also it depends on your body. if you slim you welcome to wear short dress. if you are a little bit overweight and you want to hide something wear long dress. Just look for lighter colors( because it s going to be on summer)

If the bride hasn't chosen a style, go with a color that is one her choices & go with a sedate style. You don't want to outhsine the bride.
