They are not sexual dreams.

If you were unhappy in your marriage then that's that, you are out. Do not confuse dreaming about him with anything other than your subconscious playing tricks on you, don't feel guilty. Soon enough you will stop dreaming about him, meanwhile live your life to the fullest.

In my experience from having vivid dreams 8-9 out of 10 nights for several years...
I've come to the conclusion that if anything is in "conflict" with you, you will have a dream. The conflict can be good or bad- if something happens that's better OR worse than you're expecting, a dream is more likely to appear.
You may still be reeling from the effects of the marriage before your divorce. The marriage seems to have strained you a bit. Give it some time- it may take a few years, or focus on forgetting.

Dreams are just thoughts you have had in the day. So possibly if u had to do financial business or something of the sort with him the day b4. U would have in a dream. But if u r thinking about him enough to ask this question, maybe u just think about him a lot.

One of the theories about dreams is that we are working out unresolved issues in our sleep and those issues come up as symbols. In dream analysis most humans are really symbols for some aspect of yourself. Also you didn't mention how long you were married. Research I read once said it takes one year for every five years of marriage or relationship time in order to work through getting over ones partner.

Your subconscious takes over during your dreams, so maybe you still have some unresolved issues relating to him. You never explained what kinds of dreams you are having and that may make a big difference.

There could be a lot of reasons for this. Dreaming is one thing and is normal. Does not mean you even love him or miss him at all. This is normal and happens at times. Don't read too much into it!

YOU WILL MISS HIM AT SOME TIMES, BUT IT'S A REMEMBRANCE OF HOW UNHAPPY YOU WERE IN THAT RELATIONSHIP ALSO. MAYBE YOU NEEDED MORE CLOSURE THAN HOW YOUR RELATIONSHIP ENDED, ALSO BUT THE BEST IS FOR THE BEST, BECAUSE YOU'RE HAPPY RIGHT? SOMETIMES THOSE DREAMS ARE THERE TO REMIND US OF HOW WE DON'T NEED PEOPLE LIKE THAT IN OUR LIVES, ALSO SO THAT WE DON'T MAKE MISTAKES IN THE NEXT RELATIONSHIP WE HAVE. I THINK ABOUT MY EX ALSO BUT I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HIM. TO ME IT'S JUST A CONSTANT REMINDER OF HOW I FUC*ED UP BY BEING WITH HIM, HOW I MADE A HORRIBLE MISTAKE ON LOVE. SO I KEEP ALL THAT IN MIND HE DID TO ME AND THAT MAKES ME A STRONG ENOUGH WOMAN TO NOT GO BACK TO HIM. SO GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALSO.!!

Dreams are often a way of dealing with issues that are unresolved. You probably have some issues that he some how fits into or that your are dealing with where the dreams insert him as an easy figure to help you deal with the issue.

Because he was such a huge part of your life. Although you were unhappy in your marriage, he was your husband and all the memories that go along with that are not easily forgotten. They will stop eventually.

Certainly not by choice I assure you, but you have no control over your dreams. I have dreams about my former boss man of 21 years rather frequently, and I hate it. He was not a nice man, and I would rather not even think about him, much less have him in my dreams.....but I HAVE NO choice in it. I just say, "Oh Well, whatever," and forget it.
