I think hand held computers are going to be an increased field this year and this christmas. Sony is coming out with a gorgeous handheld and microsoft's origami should come out one day.
Also cellphones, every day these things take on more features. These devices will start to replace other devices, your phone becoming your primary camera, music player, and integration with the hand held computer market.
Software for both handheld computers and cellphones will continue to develop. The US is laughably behind asian and europian countries in the cellphone market and I think we'll see us catching up over this christmas and next.

I'm thinking it's gonna go the way of bio-technologies. either nano technologies working inside of people or people getting implants like rfid chips to make people's lives more convenient.
