what muscle in the upper body are used while taking a foul shot in abasketball game

Well the shot is from the upper back, torso, shoulders, abs, wrists, upper arms, neck, and probably others parts I'm forgetting. Biggest muscle used is the brain!

well, you're extending your arm, so triceps are involved. your also kind of pushing out from your chest, so pecs are lightly involved. when you bring the ball up to shooting position you are contracting your arm, so that's biceps. you're also bending at the knee and raising (without jumping, of course), so that's a combo of calf muscles and quadriceps.also, bending your knees requires hamstring, i believe...that should just about cover it.

I would say anterior deltoids, triceps, biceps, and forearms.
