Yes, it is possible but that would mean an Axis victory and some Americans would be speaking German while others would be speaking Japanese. After the Axis finished off the British empire and the Russians they could have fortified themselves and the U.S. would have been essentially isolated and alone.

Here is a telegram sent by Winston Churchill to FDR on 15th May 1940
"If necessary we shall continue the war alone, and we are not afraid of that. But I trust you will realise, Mr. President, that the voice and force of the United States may count for nothing if they are withheld too long."

The Axis powers would have been able to consolidate their holdings and start using the resources from their new holdings. Oil from Ukraine and Dutch East Indies, grain from the Ukraine, minerals from Manchuria, etc. Also both the Germans and Japanese were already working on the atomic bomb and having these territories under their rule would have given them more resources to develop them faster. Then they would have turned on the U.S. the Germans on the east coast and the Japanese on the west coast. Don't think they wouldn't have remembered the Lend Lease Act where the U.S. sent the Soviet Union, Britain and other countries ships, aircrafts, and weapons along with "volunteer" forces like the Flying Tigers. However a lot of Europeans forget or don't know about the Lend Lease Act.

As Jack states, FDR was not conservative. The conservatives were isolationists.

It makes no sense labeling people "conservative" and "liberal" when you are speaking historically. During the time of Lincoln it was the Republicans who wanted to stop the spread of slavery and then later on end slavery. It was the Democrats who wanted to keep the status Quo.

My friend, only some parts of ur question are crazy. Don't u know that the Royal Family are at least half German? One of the Kings called George, (IV, I think), couldn't speak a word of English. He conversed with his prime minister in Latin. Earl
Mountbatten was really Battenberg and changed his name during the war so as to sound not too German. I ask u, how hypocritical is that? The Windsors had a previous name, too, but if it was changed because it was German or not ,I do not know. What some people will do for an easy ride (ie. be kept by the plebs) through this life. Up the republicans!

Why on earth would they be speaking German? Why do the English need America to protect them today against Germany?

If the Germans had successfully invaded the UK during WWII (the only English home territory they held were the Jersey Islands), then perhaps they would be speaking German. Of course, FDR was not a conservative.

Your question is silly and without any kind of rationale.

No. Conservative America wanted to stay home during WWII and let Europe sort out it's own problem. Roosevelt was one of the most liberal American presidents in history, or didn't you read the bit about the New Deal. Check your facts, darlin'.

I'm so tired of republinazis digging this one out of the world war 2 graveyard. No they wouldn't be speaking german, but the war would have losted longer and been even more devestating to europe.
