I was on the pill ( didnt take it steadily ) for about 6 months, before that i was on the patch. I've decided to take a break from BC considering i was on it for about 3 years on and off. My fiance and i did "stuff" around the 7 day- 15th day of my cylce but we used the withdrawl method about 80% of the time. What do you think the chances are that i may get pregnant?

Typical use of withdrawal, which is how most people use it, has a failure rate of approximately 18-19%. You should take a pregnancy test if you are experiencing any pregnancy symptoms.

The Cons of the Withdrawal Method:
Withdrawal is not considered a reliable form of birth control
The woman must have complete trust on the man's ability to withdraw
Pre-ejaculation, which may contain sperm, occurs without the knowledge of the man
Some men have difficulty timing their withdrawal

I have a one year old as living proof that the withdrawl method isnt the best idea. And I would take the BC if you feel that its not your time to have a kid. I think your uping your chances of getting pregnant if your doing the method and not taking the pill, and I dont think that its going to take long before you are with child.

Withdrawl nothing...... if you dont want a baby you better get on them patches fast or some pills, you cant count on withdrawl cause sperm is present even in that clear stuff that men brings out before they ejaculate the best thing to do is get educated and dont take chances cause the best time to have a baby is when you plan it. the way your going; you going to be painting a nursery real soon honey. good luck.

An 11 year old would be able to tell you that the withdrawal method doesn't work. Boys leak out before they fully come and it only takes one sperm to make you pregnant. Have you heard of condoms?

That depends on how well you used the withdrawal method. Considering that you had sex at your peak period of your cycle I would say their is a good chance you are pregnant. But you never know until your period doesn't come.

ANY UNPROTECTED CONTACT CAN GET YOU PREGNANT BUT I THINK YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT IT SOUND LIKE TO ME YOU WANT TO GET PREGNANT AND THER IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT AS LONG AS YOUR 18 OR OLDER .BUT YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR BOYFRIEND THIS . I SAY THIS BECAUSE ANY DOC WILL TELL YOU ITS SAFER TO STAY ON YOUR BIRTH CONTROL THEN TO HAVE A BABY YOUR NOT READY FOR!!!!!!!!
