In less than 5 years. Special terabyte disks are available, I have seen press release on the net. These were propably prototypes of some sort. Also the upcoming BluRay and HD technology will make hard disk manufacturers come up with something new.

looking at the present rate of growth a disk with a capacity of around 100 TB would be present in the market in another 5 yrs

In as many years as it takes Microsoft to enlarge the software to fill most of it.
