it just happened that the person they liked or loved is with someone else. it happens but better for them to look around, maybe they're missing someone else that is right for them because they are focusing too much to someone who's not right for them.

Challenge is part of it. Another factor is something called the Imago. We all carry unmet needs from significant adults when we were children. Unconsciously we supposedly pick others that will somehow bring similar experiences back into our lives that's why the rejection seems important. We're trying to heal the past through this present person. Generally we still use our old behaviour patterns and end up get no healing.

People are dreamers and we are very competitive so naturally, we set goals which sometimes seem unattainable.
Why only seek out the mundane? What would be the sense and purpose of life if we didn't try to achieve the unachievable?
Think of how fulfilling life is when we achieve and get what most people strive for but they do not succeed.

That is just human nature.
If we have straight hair/we wish it were curly
If we have a 3 bedroom house,,we wish it were 4
If we have a SUV..we wish it were a BMW
But,, like those things..how long are we actually satified w/ it,,before wanting to trade it in...
So, It has taken me a lot of quiet thinking time, and believe it or not,,, Yahoo anwers helped me see that!!
The only thing that is top priority is my family and thier health./// above all else... i would give it all up just for us to be happy and healthy

believe it or not, i was thinking of asking that same Question!!!
i'm not sure really. maybe it's the fact that we cant have it is what makes it so alluring.
for the whom part, same thing applies but it's more to do with the fact that they don't want you. it's weird alright but it will always be that way.
could be the thrill of the chase too, sometimes it's actually better than the catch!

because they are behaving like children and want their way. why be with someone or want something you cannot have. time to grow up and face reality
