I'M SITTING HERE AT THE LIBRARY, AND THE PEOPLE HERE DON'T EVEN KNOW THE TERMS USED IN THE TWO ANSWERS THAT ARE THERE. AND THEY'RE SMARTER THAN ME. BUT I'LL SAVE THE ANSWERS, AND TOMORROW, I'LL ASK THE COMPTER LAB TO HELP ME.

I KINDA UNDERSTAND, BUT IT'S LIKE TREADING WATER IN AN OCEAN...EVENTUALLY IT'S GONNA SWEEP YOU UNDER.

BUT SINCERELY...THANK YOU!

You cant set up an email address because Outlook is not an email server. Its a client tool that helps you download emails from another email server to your Outlook which you can then save in your hard drive.

If you have an email account where you are allowed to set up in outlook for pop and smtp (incoming and outgoing), then you can set up outlook so that they all get forwarded and downloaded into your outlook instead of using the browser to check your email. You can also use Outlooks easier interface to send and filter email. Its just a client tool, its not an email server. You cant just create an email account using Outlook.

For example, if you want to set up Outlook to retrieve your hotmail email messages, then you go to TOOLS then ACCOUNTS and you add an email. For hotmail, if you enter your hotmail address, then it will automatically configure it for you. If you use gmail, then the configuration is pop.gmail.com under POP and smtp.gmail.com under SMTP. You add your account name and password.

The setup is different depending on which email server youre trying to connect to. If you have more questions, just contact me.

Got to Tools-Email Accounts-type name & email adress.
Then you have to submit the your ID & password.
Then the main thing is that SMTP & POp server & SMTp port adress ? This can you from Yahoomail-Options -Pop mail ascess setting .
