My favorite author is Pat Conroy. My favorite book is Beach Music by Pat Conroy.
I am currently reading The Closers by Michael Connolly, about a guy who goes back to the police force and is assigned to work cold cases. So far, so good.
Best book I have read in the last year...a tie between Lamb and A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore. I just discovered this author and am currently obsessed with him...How can you go wrong with a book describing the fictional missing years of Jesus and a book about a man who becomes Death.
Top three authors I enjoy reading most:
Jonathan Kellerman-his books always keep you guessing, never a dull moment, suspense...suspense...suspense
Christopher Moore-my author of the year, he is irreverent, unbelievably funny and has an imagination as big as California
Agatha Christie-oldie, but goodie, she was truly the dame of mystery fiction and came up with some great characters, some great psychological suspense.

My favorite author is now definitely Dan Brown. I read the Da Vinci code to see what all the hype was about and I absolutely loved it. I just finished reading Angels & Demons (the prequal to the Da Vinci Code which I would have read first had I known about it) and it was just as good! Dan Brown is a brilliant writer. His stories are full of plot twists and surprises. You never know what will happen next. There are also very many dual meanings and symolism which I really enjoy. His books make you think and I like that a lot. It makes me feel like I'm actually gaining something and some inteligence by reading them instead of wasting my time on the mindless books and magazines I used to read. I'm currently waiting on his next book which will be titled The Solomon Key and I can't wait for it to come out!
