Could I suggest a good book. It was written years ago but it still applies. It's called "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. It's teaches important skills that will help you throughout your life. It gives insights into human behaviour and helps you see yourself more clearly. Friendships don't just happen. They are nurtured and are give and take. Often people that can't keep friends don't take time to look at what they are doing to push others away. Read and watch how you act around others. Keep in mind that we all have a primitive brain called the reptile brain and it's sole purpose is to judge if you feel safe or not. We all have it and it is the first point of contact with any new outside self situation we experience. Your task to get past the fight or flight action that might take place if the other feels unsafe.
