I am just curious if this would be a legal marriage and if so doesn't it seem ridiculous that the only thing stopping same sex couples from marrying are their sexual organs?

Just find someone willing to marry you. Ironically, if you're a man married to a woman (or woman to a man) and you have a gender switch, you're still married. Go figure . . .
