Nothing could ever top the original.
Remakes should stop---they're just trying to easily cash in on hit movies of the past. It's the easy way out to make some $$$$$. Get creative, do your own work, and make your OWN film. Stop trying to cash in on the success and hard work of others.

I think that the remake of The Omen is going to be better than the original.

The original was an absolutely great movie. I saw it four times the first week it came out. Can not imagine the need to try to remake it, let alone do it so close to the original. Mia Farrow will NEVER replace billie Whitelaw's nanny.

When ever they make remakes of on old movie the original one is always the best although chainsaw masacure was preaty good.The omen has alot of good characters in it.

WHY DID THEY BOTHER?
The original is still a terrific horror film that is worth watching. It's a pity that all that time, money, and effort wasn't used to come up with something new and original, instead of being wasted in order to rip off Richard Donner's far better original.

The original was good, not great. It had a 70's creepy kid feel to it. The remake won't be as good unless the writers are very good.

I saw the "Original" and that one was scary enough for me! And I only watched it because: I have a sister who's fixed on "Scary" movies! I watched it because, she promised me it wasn't that scary! Well, she was wrong! I cannot see paying money, out of your own pocket, to go see something, that's going to stay in your mental thoughts, the rest of your life! In a bad way, too. No Thanks! I wont be paying to run out & see the new version!

I like it, ive watched it. its better than the origanal, because how good were movies back in the 70's! it didnt have a good feeling as good as the shining. the remake is beter than the organal, i say because none of the movies in the 70's were good. nor were they great.

I enjoyed the remake. I laughed during most of it but it was still freaky. Nothing tops the original though.

Have not seen it yet and am almost always disappointed in remakes so will wait until it comes out on DVD.
