They pass no cricism, they love y2ou for who you are, and they always want to be with yolu (and bunn6nies make it extremely hard to type!)

What are you basing this question on ???
Cats? Sometimes, although definitely not all of them!
Dogs? Sometimes, although definitely not all of them!
Crocodiles? Snakes? Ants? Fish? Turtles?
Lions? A man got mauled and killed recently by lions in a zoo.

Duh! Not all domesticated animals are "agreeable friends". I clearly included cats and dogs, there is a wealth of other domesticated pets I could have named had I realised that it would be necessary!

My outlook is that we are like celebrities (if not gods) to animals. We can talk, we furnish their nourishment, we take care of them, we can do so many things that they cannot do. Wouldn't you be at least agreeable to a friend like that? If not a downright suck-up?

Perhaps you should have said "domesticated" animals. Seems like "The Abbey" failed to make that obvious connection.
I think it's because they have no instinctive reason not to trust,until they experience mankind for themselves.
