Contact your internet provider, save all IMs and emails(full headers), they probably bsing you, but if your truly afraid this person will get his internet service provider's attention when you make the complaint. Your company can track the ISP legally to his company with the appropriate IMs or emails.

if you are seriously concerned about this, there is plenty you can do. The odds that he is actually 'watching' you on the internet is low. Have you ever talked to this person before or accepted a file or opened an attachment that they sent to you before??
If so, what he says by 'tracking' you is most likely that he has managed to install a keylogger onto your computer, which means they are able to record every single key you hit, including yoru passwords and take screenshots of everything that you are doing. There is a program that you can buy (even at Walmart) called Spyware doctor and it will detect any keyloggers on your computer and remove them.

It only costs $30 to buy, but if you are uncertain and would like to check it out before you buy you can download the trial from download.com and it will scan your comp and tell you if anything is there. But you must have the purchased version to actually remove somthing.

If he is someone that you are actually afraid of, there are companies on the internet that investigate this kind of stuff when it turns too serious. For now, get the program, change your email and wait it out. Do not respond to anything he sends you.

Well thats inpossible, the only way he could track your internet is buy haveing a Internet Tracer, but you would know if it would be in use, because the only way to trace a person online though the computer from another computer is if he or she put a Wigit {a single data tranfering device that sends all the webiste codes to another computer} in your main mother board. If they havent done that they are just B.Sing you

What you need to do is check your computer for any microphones or cameras that are pluged in, if you have them pluged in unplug them.. It might be hard but unplug your internet cord for about a month. BUT STILL GET ON THE COMPUTER REGULARY!!!!!!! HE will get board. Goto the library to use internet!

well do a full spyware, virus scan then to check for trojans etc.
since the only way he can monitor your actvity is to have a trojan installed on your pc. so it reports back to the person what you have been doing etc.
most people just say that to scare you.

Run spyware removal stuff on your computer and change all of your email account, and NEVER provide any personal information about yourself on them.

But you never know, he could be lying and trying to freak you out anyway.

don't listen to him. he is most likely lying. ask him what your ip number is and he'll most like

back in 1997 i was in a chatroom and some guy told me if i didn't leave he would send me a virus. those that can doi that have better things to do with their time. so I called his bluff. i never got that virus. :)
