I freaken hate when people say this. Here's the story STRAIGHT FROM JEFF GORDON:
This is a few paragraphs from 'JEFF GORDON: Racing Back to the Front-My Memoir' page 95(for those who are interested)
"The more I won, the more fans I attracted, and the more people pulled against me. A lot of people loved that I was a young guy with a new team. Others might have thought I was destroying the fabric of the sport. This is when the first 'GORDON SUCKS' signs came out and the boo birds turned up again when I was introduced."
"At some point during this time (I have no idea exactly when), anti-Gordon fans started passing around the rumor that I was gay. I can only guess that it had something to do with my driving a rainbow colored car. I also figure some folks took a joke Dale Earnhardt made during my rookie year out of context: I had been dating Brooke throughout the season, but because Winston employed her, we had to keep our relationship secret. After her stint as Miss Winston Cup ended, we came out at the banquet as a couple. Dale, being witty as ever, said, 'Whew, Im glad to see you've got a girlfriend. Some of us were beginning to wonder if you liked girls.' Of course, Dale and a lot of other drivers had known about Brooke for months, but they hadnt said anything out of respect for our privacy. Once we showed up in public together, Dale felt comfortable making a joke about it. I can only guess that a few folks took him seriously, and the rumors about my sexual orientation spread like wildfire."

No he isn't he just whinny -rainbow warriors is from the colour of the pit crew uniform when Gordon just started out in NASCAR.They were the brightest colours out at the time.

jeff is not gay they just say that cuz his a winner and people hate it when the same person wins every race so they try to give them a bad name like jimmie johnson he has been winning all the time and people r makin up rumors bout him as well

I bet their are a bunch of you who wished he was gay. I laughed when they said on some show the gay idolized Rod Stewart because they thought he was gay and then they found out he wasn't.
