Yes you are right that it is a stupid question but very strange to know that 2+2 makes 4,If the numbers are taken seprately in numerical value then 2+2 makes 22.
Well silly questions always have silly answers.

This is a tough one.

First, let the unknown be y.

2+2=y

Next, divide each side by y.

2(2/y)=y/y

Now, we know that if the numerator is equal to the denominator in any term, the term reduces to 1.

2(2/y)=1

We know 2*2=4

4/y=1

Multiply each side by y.

4=1y

Substitute.

2+2=4
