Obviously the world is not ending today because today is already over in some part of the earth, it will be over in another 6 hours here in Nigeria in Africa. And do understand that 666 is not the number of the devil, it is the number of man. Man was created on the sixth day. 666 is the number of the anti Christ who will lead the world to rebel against God, he is very different from the devil.

Yeah, 666 is the devil's number, supposedly. Not 6/6/06 (6606) or 6/6/6666, that would be 666666. The only 666 in date has passed, and it's not today or anytime recent. 6/6/6. Not 06, the original year 6".

If you really believed the Bible, it says that no one will know when "Jesus will come back, except God himself.", so stop trying to predict. ;D

Uhm, I haven't heard of anyone thinking the world would end today. Why would it, and why would anyone believe something that stupid? Look, they're just NUMBERS. They don't mean anything--or they can mean different things to different people, which amounts to the same thing. Earlier manuscripts of the Book of Hallucinations--I mean, Revelations--had the number as 616. Did the world explode on June 16, 616? How about June 6, 666, or June 16, 1616?? Well, I guess not, 'cause here we are!

Also, you must ask yourself which of the two numbers--616 or 666--really is the "number of the beast," since different manuscripts give different numbers. Which one does your God want you to look out for? Why didn't he inspire the writers to agree on the issue so you would know for sure?

Actually, the number 666 is not a reference to the devil. It is actually the number of Roman Emperor Nero. At the time, everyone was registered by number, and 666 was his. Over time the passages werer misinterpreted to mean the devil. so no, everyone will not die on 6-6-6666. we will probably kill ourselves off much before that time.

No, I think that the earth as we know it will have been destroyed long before then. Between pollution, corruption, war, and the natural changes of the sun and universe, unpredictable things like asteroids, and global changes............ Nobody knows when the end will come.

I personally believe that the rapture will have happened LONG before that time, God will rule over the heavens and the earth, and that satan and 666 anything will no longer be an issue anywhere.

This is a really funny and idotic concept of 666 being the evil's number. Only christians(few) believe in 666 number.
What about buddhists? and Muslims and Hindus? who don`t recognise "power" of this number.Will they die too according to the faith they don`t believe in? lol

I don't think the world will be around in the year 6666. My guess is that the Apocalypse will have happened by then, and Satan'll be banished in the eternal fire pit.
