Here's the problem with this. You can enter the domain itself as "spam", so no mail from that domain ever comes through again, only problem with that is, is that in order to know it you have to open a message to see it, this is exactly what we DON'T want to do. Just another one of Yahoo's perfect fixes.

To stop spam there is no easy way. Spammers are getting good at getting around the spam filters. So you will probably never be able to stop getting it all. If you are serious about wanting to get rid of it all you can look at getting some professional spam filter such as either Norton's spam filter or the McAfee Spam filter. There are numerous other ones available too.

There is no effective way of getting rid of those for sure. But there are ways of stopping most of them.
If you're using a Yahoo! Mail account, try activating the Spam Guard option.
If your usin a pop3 account, try installing an anti-virus (like Bitdefender or Kaspersky) that has some spam mail filter.

it depends on how you are getting these emails, eg if your going to mail.yahoo.com
i set up filters so that if in the subject box it has the word sex porn, pills etc.. it will send the email to the trash folder without me doing anything, or what you could also do is set the email account to address list only, so that only people on your email address list will get to your inbox the rest will be sent to the trash folder.
