Okay, as a YD (young driver) myself I feel that currently the age law is too young, I myself am 16 years of age and have seen/experinced my fair share of car related accidents.
However, I feel the maturity and responsibility of ones own self is also to be considered, if he/she is mature enough and takes driving a motorized vehicle extreamly seriously then yes they should be allowed to drive when they turn 16, of course it would be a wise idea for them to have an experinced driver (parent, guardian etc.) in the vehicle for 2+ years until they feel comfortable and safe behind the wheel and know how to handle whatever vehicle they happen to own in different situations.

Hi, the law permits u to drive only after the age of 18 and a driving license is a must. But one can learn and practice driving as soon as he's able to reach down to the pedals. Driving can be practiced on empty street roads and sunday morning is a good time for this. U should have the confidence before u start driving.

I think it should be much older than it currently is. Insurance companies lower rates once we hit 25 area because tests have shown that at that age people are more cautious with their driving. Anything younger is much more likely to be in an accident. Would this change if we changed the driving age? I don't know.

18 after 2 years of classes in high school and a permit that forbids you to drive without your parents or an adult over 21. Teenagers that drive today get into more accidents and have bad driving records because they were not properly taught how to drive properly.

I think 18 should be the minimum age for a license with restrictions, and the age for full driving privileges should be 21.

18 sounds like a good age with a parent. i wouldn't say 21 bc of the drinking age. most teens that drive now don't need to be on the road.

18.
Kids today have no responsibility nor do they care about anything but themselves.
You need to either be 18 or gainfully employed to be able to drive at 16.

18-21 - I think that 16 is just way too young. At 16 you're just too young and inexperienced at life in general to be out on your own in a vehicle.
