Bananas will never make you fat as long as they're eaten by themselves. True, they have sugar in them but they are high in potassium and are an excellent snack. If you are on a diet, don't cut bananas off your food list because they are extremely beneficial to your health and aren't fatty. They also help reduce constipation.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Bananas are good for you since they have potassium. I don't think they will make you fat but I do remember that guys who wanted to raise their weight prior to an official weigh-in would eat bananas; then when they quit they returned to their regular weight.

No.
This is the thing that pisses me off about the Atkins people. By focussing on carbs instead of healthy eating, they have managed to convince many people that things that are bad for you are actually good for you and many things that are good for you are bad for you.
You may eat banannas in any amount as well as any other type of raw fruit and vegetable, in ANY amount you desire and not have to worry about getting fat. In the words of Jackie Chan, "when was the last time you saw a fat monkey"? He was making a joke at the time, but the joke illuminates something important. Obesity has NOTHING to do with food. It has to do with eating things that are not food.
Food - banannas, apples, lettuce, steak, eggs, chicken, potatoes, corn, brown rice etc.
Not food - twinkees, white rice, pork rinds, a McDonalds hamburger patty with or without the bread, ice cream, potato chips etc.
Eating things from the former category have a PROVEN track record of making you thin. Eating things from the latter category have a PROVEN track record of making you fat. Atkins incorrectly identifies many fattening vs non-fattening foods.

Not if one takes a small one. And not take lots of other things with it. . Also depends on how much you work out or are on the run. Bananas are good for health otherwise.
