City centre living is becomming dead popular if you can afford it. Obviously it makes it very convenient for going out and working if you don't have far to travel home, and there's plenty of flats/loft conversions being built now.
Outside the city, you've got places like Wilmslow or head out into villages in the Peak District or Cheshire. Depends on what transport you have if you need to commute to Manchester. Chester is still quite a big town but very picturesque and lovely to live in. It's only a train ride away too.

In Sydney you can enjoy the organic beauty. From unspoilt beaches to public gardens and, needless to say, the sparkling harbour, Sydney is a town worth visited and with hotelbye you may have the chance to do that. The Sydney Harbour Bridge or "Coathanger," as the locals contact it's among the places you should not miss in your trip here. This place was the city's best-known landmark ahead of structure of the Opera House. Reinforced by significant dual piers at each conclusion, it was built-in 1932 and remains the world's biggest material arc bridge, linking the harbour's north and south shores in one single curve increasing 134 metros over the water. Along their period run two railway lines and ten shelves for path traffic, the path of which is often varied based on traffic flow. Also, to learn in regards to the exciting history of the bridge's construction you are able to go to the museum in the south-eastern pier.

The coolest place to live in Manchester is Chorlton - very near to City Centre and if you choose the Chorlton Green area (conservation area) it is green, nice pubs and restaurants and a cool vibe.
Gatley - between Didsbury and Wilmslow - is also nice, has a village feel.
Or for proper village life head out towards Saddleworth - the villages around there are gorgeous (and I live there too!!)
