The number 666 is found in the Bible Book of Revelation. It is named as the number of The Beast.
Revelations is a bit of a stretch to be taken literally at any time, but ignoring the 2000 of 2006 in order to make 06/06/06 be 666 is even more of such.
Just people looking for something to be excited about.

666 is supposed to be the number of the beast in the Bible. Since today is 6/6/06, some think today will be bad. So far it is a good day.

Today isn't a bad day. There's a 6/6/06 once every century. It means nothing.
As for the significance of 666, it's the number of the beast, the antichrist, and is referred to in Revelations.

It is not a bad day. But some people believe that this day is the day of the beast (some christian thing from Johannes evangelium). people have believed for a very long time the number of the beast is 666.
Later research and calculation has shown that the number of the beast is 616. this means that the very bad day was 6th of January this year or 1 of June this year. in both cases nothing went wrong and we all live.
It all boils down to superstition.

Today is another day God hath made>It is a wonderful day. So many people do not study the Bible enough to understand it. 666 is just a number. The 6606 is just a number but it sure is a far cry from 666. 6606 subtract 666 equals 5940. Guess someone is looking for something to worry about. We all need to rejoice in this day.

6 represents consummate evil, failure because it falls short of perfection, which is represented by the number 7. And it is said that 666 is the no. of the beast. But these are all superstitions. For me the day was no different.

Frankly, don't believe in what you hear about today. It's not a bad day. 666 denotes, in fiction, the son of satan. And everyone is trying to make something out of today's date.

Three sixes is the mark of the beast but today all u need 2 do is live just like any other day with u praising GOD, eating, and ect.
