Because everyone is different. No matter how great you thought he might be, there's generally always someone out there that's better for you.
One thing you have to remember is that was seventh grade, people grow and he might not be as wonderful as he once was. Don't compare everyone to him. Open your eyes, for the one that you might be looking for is right in front of you and because you keep searching for jdarius you've over looked him.

Because in seventh grade you was dating a boys with good hearts and clean minds now your older and you dealing with grown men with bad hearts because of all what they may have been through over the years and tainted minds because of all the bad things they have done along the way. so keep your head up and keep looking.

You can't find someone who has exactly the same qualities as your 7th grade bf. You just have to keep looking. Maybe, if you can't find someone exactly like him, you can find someone who has similar qualities. There are a lot of boys out there. Just keep your eyes and heart open (now I'm starting to sound corny). :) Good Luck!

Don't worry you have plenty of time :) When you enter high school, you will have a lot more choice of people and different backgrounds.
The best advice my mother gave to me-
Date lots of different people with lots of different backgrounds. This way you'll find out what you like and dislike. You'll make better decisions about the person whom you want to be with long term.
