I love answering questions, mainly because it makes me fel like my opinion matters. And even if no one reads my answer, or my answer isn't picked as the best (which i really like), then at least i have tricked myself into thinking that what i am typing in my answer counts on some level. Is it boredom, a need for recognition, a desire to be heard?! All the above!

I like asking, because I can ask any kind of question and get some outrageous responses that are fun to read. I like answering because I can answer with the first thing that comes to mind and not have to edit it for the p.c. working world. But my favorite part is reading the questions and answers that make me laugh. Oh, and getting the "best answer" for 10 additional points.

I can't say one or the other. I love answering because I know that at least sometimes I am helping others and/or making them feel better. And I like asking because I know that my questions are being answered by real people that have been through similar situations, share the same tastes or in some cases just share the same/similar opinion.

Answering !I once asked a question and believe me the answers were so fantastic and really helped me out.I then thought that if people out there can spend some time helping others then why not me.I don't care about the points but I just care about the feelings of those I may have helped.

Favourite part of Yahoo Answers is : Answering questions.
Reasons:
1. You get points... that gives a high
2. You wait eagerly to see if your answer is the best answer.
3. If your answer helps someone, you feel good and satisfied.
4. Great constructive time pass

Actually, I like to read the answers! Pure entertainment, such creativity and some are darn good answers! I've gotten a bit better at answering, but I think that is because I've seen a wide range of answers from flippant to filthy. raucous to reasonable, silly to sincere. It's all out there. I try to stay in the silly to sincere range. Some questions just need a silly answer! Others need sincere. Thanks - have a great day!

Both - I like to find answers to questions I ask - especially the creative ones - on the other hand I enjoy trying to help others with well thought answers

I really like answering questions. Most of the questions I answer are a matter of opinion and not fact. I like sharing my experiences with people. I've only asked one question...about the octane in gas...and I felt really silly for not knowing. After I submitted my question, I thought to myself: "I should have just 'googled' it."
