It depends what hype you are talking about. The movie was good and I liked the ending. Vince did a good job in making the movie funny, Jen kept it serious. No question it is a good date movie.

I saw it and i liked it. I'll warn you that it is not as funny as the previews make it out to be. They took all of the funny clips and made the preview. Even though there are a few more funny parts (Aniston's sister slept with an entire sports team while on "vacation") the majority of the movie is Aniston and Vaughn fighting. There isn't really a happy "Hollywood" ending. You could interpret it that way or you could interpret it a different way. I just got out of a relationship so I identified with both characters in the movie. You should definately go see it. Anyone who was or is in a relationship should see it, but just don't go thinking the whole movie is going to be laughs. There are laughs and tense parts.

I saw it on Sunday. I have to say I was rather disappointed with it. There are a few moments where you feel a little tug on your heart strings, but not many. Vince and Jen did alright, but in the end it wasn't worth seeing because the whole movie just frustrates you and you leave feeling jipped. In my humble opinion you go to movies to escape real life, not revel in it. If you really want to understand what I'm talking about before you see the movie, rent THE WAY WE WERE with Barbara Streisand and Robert Redford.

It was a really funny movie, but one thing that got to me was that you have to sit through 10 minutes of fighting at a time. It was hard to watch as they make the same mistakes I have before and think damn that was stupid. I know the movie's called The Breakup but I kept wanting the movie to redeem itself and have them get back together. I'd wait for DVD.

You asked this a couple times right? I say break-up but I thought it was kind of low-budget tv. It seems like something that should air either at 3 am between informericals, or directly after bold and the beautiful and right before the price is right. Like weekdays at 2pm. It was pretty lame.

Very funny in several parts. Not a great movie, but it was definitely entertaining. Worth seeing I would say. I give it a B.

It was only o.k. There were only a few laughs because they showed all the funny parts in their promos.
