Well that depends greatly. First of all, I assume you are talking about residential real estate agents, not commercial. The average where I live is 6%, however some will work for as little as 4%. If you are using the same agent to sell a house and buy a new one, you can often negotiate 3% on each deal to save you some money.

Typically 1.5%. If the commission paid by the seller is 6%, half goes to the listing brokerage firm and the half goes to the buyer's brokerage firm. The broker (company) gets half of that and the agent gets the rest -1.5%. If you listed the house and sold the house, you can get 3%. This is just an example of split. Each company has different split policy.

Normally about 3% for listing and 3% for selling. So the seller pays a total of 6% - that's on residential. If you are the lister and the seller than you get 6% - of course you have lots of expenses too like the advertising, you cell phone, driving people around to look at houses, etc.

In Malaysia and Indonesia you will get between 5-15% gross per sale officially. It comes from both buyer and seller (usually equal amount or 50-50). But you will make only 1-3% net per sale if you are not official/registered agent.

usually 6-7 percent, but this is split with the other agent working for the buyer/seller.

that depends on your state regulations
the listing agent agreement with the seller if your not the listing agent then it would be spilt between you (buyer agent) and the agent with the listing (its negociable) and your brokers cut depending on your agreement with them
on average you'd be splitting up 6% between all of you
