Hi again

Did my mid season draft and this is what my team looks like:

C - Mauer
1B - Thome
2B - Uggla
3B - F. Sanchez
SS - H. Ramirez
OF - J. Dye
OF - C. Granderson
OF - J. Jones
Util - T. Wigginton
BN - A. Pierzynski
BN - J. Willingham (looking to drop him for an OF)
SP - Schilling
SP - Mussina
RP - Papelbon
RP - Wickman
P - Glavine
P - F. Garcia
P - Marquis
P - Millwood
P - Robertson
P - Sele

It is a 12 team x 21 player rotisserie league so there are slim pickings on the FA list.
Any thoughts or suggestions for improvement? Will likely have to be via a trade.

Thanks!

Honestly, I feel that you have too much starting pitching. You will probably top the Wins catorgory in your league but your ERA and WHIP will be high and your Saves and K will be low. RPs almost always do better in those catogories. Consider trading one of your starters for a closer with a high K/IP and a low WHIP and ERA. A high K/IP guy that might be available on the FA market is J J Putz.
Also, maybe you could trade some of that SP for some speed like Brian Roberts or Pods. Willy Travaras and Dave Roberts are often availible as a base stealers via FA.
Anyway, good luck and have fun!

Catchers are a precious commodity; consider trading Pierzynski instead of Willingham as he can fill in on open days in both the OF & at C. I would look at picking up a closer or a middle relief pitcher and another OF for Tom Glavine. If you look hard enough you can get a middle relief pitcher that will get you about as many strikeouts per week and may pick up a few saves and vulture wins as well.

I hope that you can find a better bat for your utility position. Sometimes it is best to find the hottest free agent and ride their hitting hot streak until it ends, then cut them for another. I like the idea of carrying so many pitchers, but look towards getting 1 or 2 relief pitchers that can fill both an SP or RP on your daily lineup. Why waste an SP slot for a pitcher that is not scheduled to work that day? If you are in a Roto league, make sure you are not piling up too many Innings Pitched with so many starters.

Good Luck!

Great SP. Fairly solid up and down. Willingham should be OF eligible, so you can certainly hold onto him.

I would look to get a backup at 1B, however, since it is likely that Thome, even if healthy, will be sitting for a number of games.

no longer precisely honest even yet it particularly is unbalanced on your want. Bell is valueless and Strasburg is basically a tumbler. Cabrera isn't any doubt one among the main suitable offensive gamers in baseball and is lots extra efficient than any pitcher.

You have amazing pitching! Use a pitcher to get an offensive upgrade.

i would not drop willingham because he can play the outfield and catcher positions.
