Why are rappers alwayz rapping about College Park?! I mean they rap about Atlanta and College Park! Why?

Rappers are not very bright and the city is all they know. Most rappers are blacks in gangs who grew up in cities in gangs and never left so their view of the world is only their little city. Sorta a big fish in a small sea syndrome. They think they rule the city and they are so important because they grew up in poor beginnings. Rappers are doing nothing except glorifying gangs and violence.

Because they have pride in the city where they were born/were raised/live and want people to know about it. It's the same reason somone wears a shirt that says the name of their city on it, or by extension, a football jersey from their favorite team. They take pride and want to be publicly associated with that city/team/what have you.

way to represent where they are from or grew up. or where they made a fan base, finally (tupac was from new york, but he represented california). also, to put that one city on the map of music. even if it has been on it already, they put in their 2 cents ;)
