Yes because not knowing would drive me crazy! =) I don't like to be kept in the dark, I'm all about knowing the truth right here and now, and not later. So I found out the sex of my baby when I was pregnant. And I probably will find out the sexes of my future babies as well. Some people like to be surprised, but that's them. For me, I like to be able to plan and organize and know what I'm up for. Knowledge is power, and knowing that I have the control makes me feel like I am going to be able to tackle motherhood and be prepared for anything.

I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant with my first. I wasn't going to find out what the sex was but after going shopping a few times decided I wanted to know. The unisex clothing they have out now looks more like the Easter bunny puked on them! It's made shopping a lot easier and in our case, there was no bashfulness in showing his gear!

Absolutely. Even before birth, it is critical that you begin brainwashing your child with gender stereotypes. If it's a boy, buy him lots of blue clothes. If it's a girl, buy her lots of pink clothes, especially a bonnet. Make sure you consult a list of appropriate names for the gender. That "boy named Sue" song was just a joke. I'd also recommend getting some dolls for a girl and some violent video games for a boy.

I would like to know, it would help me be better prepared and organized for the baby. Nursery in yellow/pink or blue/green. I don't really like unisex clothes so I could buy female or male clothes. Plus picking a name would be easier, I'm a plan ahead, organized type of person. :)

yes!
i'm pregnant and my husband and i couldn't wait to find out what we were having.
it makes shopping ALOT easier. plus, it helps in naming and also just knowing that my little guys is kicking around in there. we're naming him parker, so it's nice to say "parker's bouncing around today!" or my husband asks "how's parker??"
my husband had a great point when we were deciding if we wanted to know or not....
he said some people say they want to wait to be "surprised".
his point was that he was going to be surprised whether it was during the ultrasound or during birth...so why not be surprised earlier and plan a little more!
i thought that was pretty clever!
take care.
