I think there are to many laws, and the knee-jerk reaction of legislating against anything that upsets us is one the major things that are wrong with this country. To much legislation for things that hurt our feelings. And another law against sex, yeah that is just what we need.

When a contract is broken (and marriage is a contract) between two people, your recourse is civil justice(getting a divorce).

THATS A GOOD IDEA IT SHOULD HAVE SOME KIND OF PUNISHMENT. I DONT THINK THAT IT SHOULD BE A FELONY MAYBE THEY SHOULD GET THEIR PICTURE IN THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER WITH AN ARTICLE ABOUT THEM CHEATING AND HAVE TO WEAR A SIGN AROUND THEIR NECK FOR AT LEAST A MONTH. THEY SHOULD ALSO BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE SOME SORT OF TEN STEPS PROGRAM FOR CHEATING. BUT BEFORE ANY OF THE THINGS COULD BE CARRIED OUT THEIR SPOUSE WOULD HAVE TO AGREE TO IT SO THAT IF THEY FEEL THAT THEY WOULD BE EMBARRASSED BY SOME ARE ALL OF THE THINGS THAT WERE ABOUT TO HAPPEN THEY WOULDNT HAVE TO PARTICIPATE OR IF THEY WANTED TO PARTICIPATE IN SOME OF THE ACTIVITIES THEY WOULD HAVE THE CHOICE TO CHOOSE, SINCE THEY ARE THE ONE THAT WAS DECEIVED.

NO, NO, NO. First, you cannot legislate morality. There is no written agreement unless its a prenup. Most importantly, don't you think this would contribute to people NOT getting married in the first place? Nothing assures fidelity like legislative coercion.

Wait, I have a good idea. maybe they should have to wear a big scarlet "A" on their blouse.

Yes, I think cheating should be a felony... He/or she is breaking a law of marriage.

MARRIAGE - A contract made in due form of law, by which a free man and a free woman reciprocally engage to live with each other during their joint lives, in the union which ought is exist between husband and wife.

At one point in my life I would have said that someone that cheats in a relationship should be given the firing squad. And although I still feel that a cheater is morally bankrupt and should be jettisoned by the offended party.Making an actual law against such private behavior wouldn't stop a true serial philanderer. If their was such a law my ex-wife would be doing life without parole, for sure!
