There are many frauds indeed with psychics. However, there are several internationally known psychics and spiritualists that span time from Nostradamus in the 1500s to the current time.
While humans tend to fear the unknown, it's easy to be cynical. Some facts, however, bear out a further look into this phenomenon, including the idea that we only use 15% of our brains. That indeed we have strong "intuition" also called many other things such as 'gut feeling', our 'inner voice' and so on, that give us advice which generally proves true. Whether we believe or disbelieve, there are people among us who find work in this area more than admirable. It is for each of us to decide, I believe.
Sylvia Brown began her professional career as a psychic on May 8, 1973 with a small meeting in her home. Within one year her practice had grown very large and she decided to incorporate her business as the Nirvana Foundation for Psychic Research. Wanting to make her work as professional as possible, then as now, Sylvia maintains required business licenses, is a member of a national consumer protection agency, and donates a lot of time to charitable organizations and working with police.
The renowned prophet Nostradamus (Michel de Nostradame) was born on December 14, 1503 in St. Remy, Provence, France. Nostradamus came from a long line of Jewish doctors and scholars. His family had converted from Judaism to Christianity in 1502, as a result of persecution on the ascension of Louis the XII. After a classical education he studied medicine, herbalism and astrology.
John Edward has brought a fresh, honest and thought provoking attitude to the world of psychic phenomena. As a psychic medium, author and lecturer, he has, over the last nineteen years, helped thousands with his uncanny ability to predict future events and communicate with those who have crossed over to the Other Side. Since then, his clientele has ranged from young to old, student to professor, people of the clergy, law enforcement agencies and people from everyday life. His clients wait over two years to sit with him for private sessions, and although John is anxious to share his ability with those that need him, he is unwilling to compromise the quality of his work for the quantity that seek him out.

Lets say psychics are good and they do work, they would need to advertise because not everyone believes in them as you can see below

Well, technically, what psychics pertain to have is the ability to read people's minds, and know the future. That isn't the same as being able to suggest things to people that they do. Therefore, even if they did know the future, they still have to advertise.
The fact that I think the whole psychic thing is nonsense is really neither here nor there!

Because if they didnt advertise no one would know they are there. They are the psychic ones, not us.

There is no such thing as a psychic.
They make their money by exploiting simple-minded people with vague predictions/answers which more often than not will apply to almost anyone. I.E. "You recently confided in a close friend", "You will soon come into some unexpected money", "I sense recent stress in your life".
I don't think people who believe in/frequent psychics are STUPID, but I do think they are gullible, and most probably lack something in their life that makes them pay money to have someone tell them about themselves.

It is the ones that are no good that need to advertise. Those of us who are good, will be found when the time is needed.

Because a lot of them ARE fake. Or they have "limited power", to be nice. A real psychic is very rare.

If psychics really could do what they say they can, they would be able to predict the lotto numbers, and would not have to charge people so much.
