Why are some people more talented than others.What should an untalented person do to reach the top.?

Manipulation. Kissing up. Perserverance. Drive. Aggression.

I think it's relative to what you want to succeed in. If it's business then you need to make lots of 'friends' or contacts....I suggest practicing your people skills and kissing up. In fact, kissing up will get you almost everywhere.

I suppose in order to make yourself successful you have to be irreplacable. You also have to be flexible and willing to undergo whatever it takes to arrive at the top. So...that's perserverance.

I think it's mostly mental. If you believe you can, you will.

Some people are more talented than others due to several factors like genetic and environmental. But all talented people don't make it to the top. Talent in one field may not mean anything in other. Like though Sachin is a phenomenal talent in Cricket, he could not complete his studies. Lots of ultra-talented Pakistan players hardly went to middle school. Even David Beckham the English football Superstar is atrocious when it comes to grammer. He once told his 4 year old Son's lessons were too tough and that they were "TEACHED" in a different manner.
Coming to the not so talented; Shivnarain Chanderpaul is an extremely ungainly and unattractive looking batsman. But he makes up by sheer hard work. But one of the all time great lesser talented ONE who made it to the top is our own "Anil Kumble". People always crib about his lack of turn and all that stuff. But with sheerdetermination, hard work and consistency Anil Kumble has reached the TOP. So my friend if you think you are not all that talented, then in you are in Elite company. Just learn from the GREAT KUMBLE.

They are more talented than others simply because they were born that way/blessed by Whatever God/Force You Choose.

Untalented people can still reach the top by hard work. Just because it does not come naturally does not mean you cannot learn to be good at it. However, if you're just not suited for it, why torture yourself?

Find something you LOVE...something that you ARE talented at, and go with that. If you suck at math, go with writing, if you're awful at mechanics, art might be your thing.

If you're bound and determined to continue working at something in which you have no talent, it's going to be lots of extra work and you can succeed, but if a naturally talented person wants to work just as hard as you (which they often don't, relying on raw talent, not work ethic), then they will beat you out for the positions

Reading and comprehension is the key my man! No one is born smart....It takes motivation also. If you can comprehend what you are reading you can learn anything you want to know! I read all the time! I have a magazine rack in the bathroom.....I do a crossword puzzle every day! The problem with most kids today is the sole fact that the American education system fails miserably when it comes to teaching reading and comprehension! If the education system spent the first 5 years of school teaching only reading and comprehension our children would be the smartest and most educated in the world in a few years. The boobs are stuffing high level mathematics down the throats of children before they can even comprehend what they are reading! If you give a child this ability he can easily learn the math he needs later in life!

Personally, I don't believe that anyone is untalented. Some are talented in one area, while others are talented in another. I believe that each of us is created with a purpose to fulfill. I think if someone who is "untalented", as you say, feels that way, they need to look for the area where they are talented, because they haven't yet found it.

Some people are just born with natural gifts. I am not athletic, so I don't go out to do athletic things. I think what an "untalented" person should do is find what they are talented in. No one has absolutely no skills or advantages.

I feel that God gave each and every one of us specific talents. While I may be an artist and can draw, someone who can't may be excellent at singing (which I totally cannot sing!). You just have to discover what your talent and strong points are. You are talented in so many ways that others, like me, are not. I really feel that you can do anything you put your mind to. Well, you really can't help it if other people are more talented than you. It just runs in their genes. But sometimes you may also have a special talent that you still haven't discovered yet. It just takes time to know your special talent. But if you really want to have that talent that you wish you had, the you can just practice to be better at it. :)
