I had the "Barbie's Prom Date" boardgame. You would roll the dice and move around the board. You prayed you got hooked up with "Ken," but I inevitably rolled Poindexter or Bob. *sigh*. But man....I loved that game!

Kick the can. It was cheap, easy and fun, if one didn't flip his lid? Now hold out your arm and let's see. Hey, you do feel nostalgic.

A lot of my favorites have already been mentioned so I'll default to a card game. Old Maid. (you know: "Go Fish" with a twist)

What I loved best about this game was when it was played by a group of at least 4 kids. The cards would be dealt and you would immediately know who had the "old maid". They would give that look of disgust. I guess I liked the game because I learned the art of putting on a "poker face" way before I should've. This gave me an advantage and I was able to win most of the time. Not that winning is everything. *cough cough*

If I were to come to your house to play games, I wouldn't bring Old Maid. I would probably bring Scrabble so we could make punny words.

I liked Risk a lot (the miniature megalomaniac in me, I guess). I had one of the old sets with the real wooden pieces. I would love to come over for a game... it's all about getting Australia at the beginning, so it would be a bloody battle for Oz to start off with. I had someone throw a Risk board at me once in frustration when I icily broke a truce. What other game can inspire such passion? Chess maybe, another favorite.

I had no games like that.
My favorite childhood game was hide and seek. The only difference with this game is that we had the run of the entire town (6,000 people) and we knew every crook and nanny in the place.
Sometimes our games would take all day and go into late evening. Some days we never found each other. So we just went home.....lol
But oh, what fun we had.

Used to do a lot of roleplay - I was Spiderman for most of my childhood, changing into Doctor Who after a while.
My grandma taught me to play blackjack for money, so "Fleecing Mom" was another good one. Operation was fun, but I kinda peeled the cardboard up to see if the guy had any real substance...Monopoly was always good for a laugh, and still is today. Connect 4...Jaws...I'll bring the games if you provide the milk and cookies?

I loved my strawberry shortcake colorforms. You know, the little plastic pictures you create a story on the board with. I also liked chutes and ladders. But sorry, I don't have time to come over. I have to go to work (I'm a nanny). But you can come with me and read books, play PS2, and go to the craft store. That's what we'll probably do today.

The pinball game, "Firepower." It was awesome. It was one of the first ones that talked. I liked video games and all, but pinball was much more random and therefore much more in tune with what I wanted a game to be.

I also liked the game, "make the goo come out of the thing," but that wasn't until a few years later.

Stop Thief. Still is one of my fave's and definitely my son's. We played it tonight. He's really good at catching the bad guys now. I also liked Stratego, Chess, Super Mastermind, and Scotland Yard. I know that feeling of nostalgia 'cause I play all these games and more with my kids all the time.

I also liked playing doctor but I won't come over and play that with you- I lost my license to practice. haha.

I loved having tea parties with my dolls and stuffed animals. My mom would let me use real food. Maybe that's why I have a small collection of minature tea sets. We can play Prom Date and them maybe we could have a tea party! I'll bring the biscuits!!

We can play queen of the hill (Hey, there was girl power even before it sold to the masses.lol). Or, we could play ring around the rosie, tag, or movie star. But, we have to exchange friendship beads first. lol.
