Morning sickness is just nausea, coupled with some vomiting, a heightened sense of smell, and a gag reflex that's working overtime. You don't feel like eating (because almost everything smells and makes you want to throw up), but at the same time you have to eat, so you eat. Then throw up. It can happen in the morning, in the afternon, or in the evening. Sometimes you get dizzy, and with dizziness you get more nauseous. Sometimes it's not bad nausea, and you get on with your day without any episodes of vomiting. It really depends on the woman and the pregnancy - everybody is different (cliche but true).

Like crap. I use to wake up and vomit as soon as I stood up and sometimes I would vomit right after dinner. I'm not really sure why they call it 'morning sickness' for me it happened at anytime and it lasted about 3 weeks. I wasn't just nauseous though... I was dizzy, tired, and had headaches. But its different for all women, no pregnancy is the same. Some never feel nauseous a day of their pregnancy while others can feel horriblr throughout the entire thing. Good luck :)

It is totally different for everyone and I totally agree with the gal who said it can happen all day long. The first 3 months of my pregnancy I was sick in the morning and in the evening! The worst was when I had to brush my teeth, it always made me throw up. Along with smelling certain foods and sometimes if someone even said something gross I would get queasy. It isn't fun!

Well I didn't have morning sickness. I would only get nausea when I smelled coffee. My poor husband couldn't drink a cup of coffee in the house the first trimester of my pregnancy. LOL!

been there done that 4xs over. it can feel like anything from slight nausea to full blown vomiting. I've had it where 20 minutes after i ate anything it came flying back out. and then I've had it where i just felt very ill all day. that ill feeling included being dizzy, headache, sick to my stomach, extremely tired, weak.....personally i preferred when it came flying back out because at least when it was over i felt good. the other was just frustrating because nothing took it away. but at least it goes away around the third month or sooner. good luck to you.

For me, it is like having a stomach virus. It is all day long and i am so super hungry but can't keep anything down. I am up to one meal a day. It is like sour stomach that won't quit.
