You Know, Cryuff was not a exactly a forward. He was a winger. He came forward because of the Dutch concept of "Total Football"

In many ways your selection is good, but I forsee 1 problem; both Maradona and Eusebio were playmakers.

Rather than complement each other, they will both be trying to open up defences and there is a chance, it will confuse the strikers. Both players having different styles, in delivering the telling pass.
But like your question, this analysis of mine is hypothetical. Your choice could always work as well.

For my choice: Definitely both Pele and Maradona would be in. Maradona as the deliverer and Pele, someone who can play anywhere in an attacking formation.

Striker: Well there are plenty, but as a poacher in the box, you've got to consider Gerd Mueller, a player who is forever, 'in the right place, at the right time'.
The other player in my 4 would be Enzo Francescoli, a player idolised by Zidane. He can create but also can be very 'tigerish' in midfield, by holding up play and disrupting the opponents play/flow in midfield.

So it goes like this: Maradona the playmaker, with Francescoli complementing him. Mueller as the out and out striker, with Pele having a free reign in the attacking 3rd, playing as an attacking forward if necessary, drifting around in the 'hole' or dragging play to the inner wing area.

But there is no perfect answer, any combination, given the quality of players gone by, would or could have the same devastating effect.

Two of them are obvious, Maradona, Pele. The other two, with some many great players. I'll go wihh Caniglia and Perico Leon.

Thierry Henry, Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez, Samuel Etoo
Pele and all the other legends are too old to spearhead an attack now so I pick these *presently playing* strikers.

I will like to differ with you , in deed Lineker was a good player but been nominated as the best in history, not even top 10.
I will go for Zidane,Van Basten, Cruiff and Batistuta
attacking spearhead? the best ever.
*****
I know Cruyff's in the field, but you need someone that can open spaces and get get scorable balls to the box

Question, exactly how many people know jack about football? I agree with your line up other then with lineker, yeah he was a natural scorer but overall talent he would be swept away by Henry, Lampards not a striker, beckham isnt a striker, ronaldino (who plays for barcelona apparently.. who knew?), not a striker, honestly, im assuming, your americans?

Ronaldinho, Shevchenko(UKR), veteran Koller(CZE), and Toure to set up the attack. As my reserves I would have Drogba, Baros, Tomas Rosicky, and Frank Lampard.
