First don't freak out :), I know it is really hard not to. In pregnancy it is normal to have increased vaginal discharge. It is can be thicker and seem like a lot. The mucas plug can come out and then grow back. Usually it is so gradual that you don't even notice you lost it. Is it blood tinged or streaked? Not brown but pink or red? Brown means old blood, and red/pink mean new blood. It could also be a yeast infection. These are all other reasons for this, but if you think it's preterm labor you can go to the doc, or even just call them and they may just ask you to describe it and they can tell you what to do from there. I have gone into preterm labor 4 times and that wasn't a sign for me (not that it isn't). Another question is if you are having contractions? Here are some symptoms of preterm labor. You don't have to have them all at once, just one of them...
Menstrual Type Cramping
Lower Abdominal Cramping (with or without diarrhea or tightening)
Low, Dull Backache (different from what you normally feel)
Increase or Change In Vaginal Discharge
Pelvic Pressure (More Than Usual)
Uterine Contractions (More than 4 in an hour)
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms:
1) Go to the bathroom and empty your bladder,
2) Drink several large glasses of water,
3) Rest on your left side with your feet up for one hour.
If the symptoms are not relieved by doing these things, or if you are having these symptoms frequently, call your doc or go straight to Labor and Delivery to be monitored for contractions and dialation.
GOOD LUCK!!

No, you shouldn't be worried. It is totally normal. Most women don't even know that they have lost it or are losing it.
You need to get to the doctor/hospital if your water breaks. That is different than the mucus plug. Sometimes when your water breaks it is just a little trickle of water. It could be reddish or pinkish in color. It is important that you get to the doctor if that happens because there is an increased risk of infection and other problems.
Don't worry! Losing the plug is natural. You could lose the plug and not deliver for a few weeks. Good luck!

That means you really need to call your doctor. Losing your mucus plug means labor is around the corner and at 29 weeks that isnt good

Yes, definitely call your doctor right away!!! My daughter was suppose to be born January 16, 2004. I was walking in Walmart on December 20, 2003 and started feeling cramps. I had lost my mucus plug earlier that day and didn't do a thing (cause like you I didn't know). Just went shopping. Got home and I was wet. Called the doctor and she said to get to the hospital right away. My daughter was born December 21, 2003. She was 4 weeks early. Weighed 5 pounds. So please call. Thanks

Call you doc. I lost my mucus plug when I was 37 weeks pregnant with my daughter but didn't have her for another 2 weeks. It could be anywhere from 24 hours to 2 weeks before you actually go into labor...stay calm and good luck!

Ok, don't freak out. You should call your OGBYN or midwife or whom ever you are going to see and tell then you think you lost your mucus plug and you would like to come in and have them check things out. I lost mine early and it wasn't a problem. But you still should call your doctor and get in for a check up to make sure every thing is fine! I am sure that they will get you in just to make sure that everything is fine. So just realax and call that is what they are there for there is nothing you can tell them that they haven't been called about before.. So just give them a call

Oh honey, you should really know more about sex/pregnancy before having sex. Did you use the condom or not? Always use protection and condoms are only 99% guaranteed. There's always the chance of getting pregnant if the condom breaks or has a hole in it. Condoms don't protect against STD's, so always be careful. You won't know if you are pregnant until the time you miss a period the month following intercourse. Find some information about sex/pregnancy before continuing to have sex. It's important stuff to know about.

You should call your doctor right away!! Rest assured that even if you are going into labor, there are medicines they can give you to stop the pre-mature labor. Until you can see your doctor, be sure NOT to take a tub bath or have intercourse. Try to calm down and call the doctor NOW!

I lost my mucus plug early. I would lose it in spurts though. I think if you're concerned the you need to call your dr. As long as your water hasn't broken you should be ok.
But I really don't think there's any need to freak out, call and talk to your ob/gyn and tell them about it.
