i'm talkting about the lines on a pregnancy test....sorry should've said that.

Evaporation lines are shadow like or grey in color. They really just look like where the line would be if it showed up. They usually show up later (like after 10 min) and you don't see them to at least 5 min. But if there is any color in the line, and it keeps getting more noticeable as it dries most likely it is a positive. ditto what the previous poster said (about PG tests) and also remember to read the results in the correct time period per the instructions. ANY result read after 10 mins (thats the usual cut off) is unreliable, regardless of the color.

if you are unsure, test again and read the results in say... 5 mins. thats enough time for the test to have processed and well before the cut off.

or get a digital test - you get results within just a couple minutes and you dont have to guess if you see a line or not :)

blue lines are blood vessels and viens not that line its always brown or black depending on your race
