Why do you think that women have such a hard time getting along with their husbands mother?

We have been having a fued with my husbands mother and brother for two months. The women is 45 and hasn't held a job for more then 2 years, but ask you to pay her rent. She complains that me and her son don't belong together But we get along great. She does not except my daughter from a previous relationship, only the newborn that I had with her son. She hangs out with my hubbys brother like their best friends. She like i said is 45, he's 21!!! They are always together. So, the other day, we went over because she was calling and wanted to see us. So we go over. Not ten minutes into the visit, she starts complaining again about her other daughter in law. We told her before, we don't want to hear it, to grow up and move on. Then we notice that she has cut me and my first daughter out of the family pictures and just has pics of her son, and our new daughter. My question is, hwo can i not let her get to me? Everytime I think about the way she acts, I want to go knock her out! Seriously

How can I just block her out, she calls, and hangs up, all the time. I am livid with her, when I think about her, I could just spit nails! Literally, just the thought of her makes me want to freak out hardcore. How do I get her to stay out of our lives. My husband told her but she just doesn't seem to get it. We dont want to be part of her stupid childish games, yet she just continues to do what she always seems to do. How do I stop myself from smacking her when I see her? Serious answers only.

My hubby doesn't talk to his mother anymore yet she still thinks she has a right to tellhim what to do. He is the only one in the family who has an education, he started working when he was twelve for his aunt because his mother didnt want to work, just sit at home and hang out with her other son. She makes it very clear who she favours as a son, but thats ok. My hubby has said he has gotten everything in his life without her help. She has pushed him away, yet she is still here, medling in our lives every chance she gets.

Your mother in law is a mother in law straight from hell..Call Dr. Phil, you're a perfect candidate for his show...Change your phone number and make sure she doesn't get it...If she doesn't accept your daughter from your previous marriage don't let her see her son's daughter either...These little girls don't need someone like her in their lives...My daughter in law took me to Hawaii, with her, so I guess I'm doing something right...

Its compitition honey, he was a mommas boy when younger, and momma thinks no woman is good enough for her son,( I know what your going thru- I have one also)She thinks I'm stealing away something that belonged to her.
Kill her with kindness, she knows she bothers you, I know how you feel inside, you just want to knock her senseless,or get her away as far as possible. Try changing your phone number and getting caller i.d. that way you can see who's calling first hand before answering the phone. Dont give no more high priced pictures to her, don't give her anything for that matter. I have been dealing with my monster in law for 3 years now. Good luck to you on this long jouney with this so called witch.( Jokingly ask her is she needs a new broom, and leave it at that)

If you doubt you'll do anything, you absolutely by no means will. You can and can take one of the most first-rate watching women out on a date out of your school. Both are competing to be #1 in his life (whether they/you consciously know it or not) and normally the man is caught in the middle playing both ends to keep both wife and mom happy. He doesn't want to choose but is often expected to put one slightly above the other. It's life.

I sincerely thinks the woman is not occupied.if she is occupied by a man/woman she wont be meddling in other people's affairs afterall she is just forty five and she can still get good company.encourage her to do this or you just cut her off period.

MOTHER IN-LAWS ARE THE WORST TO DEAL WITH. JUST LAUGH AT HER WHEN SHE MAKES COMMENTS ABOUT YOU AND HER SON. AS FAR AS HER CUTTING YOU AND YOUR DAUGHTER OUT OF PICS, BRING IT TO HER ATTENTION IN FRONT OF YOUR MAN!!
