It is usually between the 16-24 wk area. It will depend on where the baby is, where the placenta is, and how toned the middle region is :), and which pregnancy this is for you. You might be feeling the baby now but not recognize it. The best description I can give is that it feels like a muscle spasm. You know how you'll get a twitch and you feel it "bumping" you from inside your body. That is how it kinda feels. There are a few things you can do to see if you can feel it. Eat something sweet, like juice or a cookie, wait about 30-60 min, and then lay on your back. Press on the uterus just right above the pubic bone with both hands side by side. Press firmly but don't hurt yourself, and hold your hands there. You will most likely have to wait a minute or two and you'll feel something. Then after a bit you'll recognize it isn't you moving. It might not be now, but try this for then next few weeks and soon you should be able to feel it. You might even feel them push back. Good Luck and I hope it is soon, for me it is one of the best parts of pregnancy!

You probably felt it but just didn't recognize it as the baby moving. At 16 weeks the baby's moves and kicks are not as strong, and the baby is not big enough yet for you to really feel him/her moving. Sometimes it's like a little fluttering in the stomach, and you'll probably think it's just your stomach digesting or something like that. When I was pregnant, I would get little flutters in my stomach but I didn't think it was the baby. It was really around the 20th week that I felt the baby moving and knew that it was the baby moving and not something else.

So don't worry, pretty soon that baby of yours will be kicking you in your belly, hard enough for you and your partner to feel with your hands. It is quite an experience, and a lot of fun to feel that little person growing inside of you. Have fun and enjoy your pregnancy!

It can take up into the 20th week. Some women have a thick wall and cannot feel the movement. My niece was in her 22 week before she felt hers move. Dont worry it will happen soon.

The baby could be moving and you just aren't feeling it yet. If you get that "nervous" feeling, like a roller coaster that could be the baby. Also it will feel like a butterfly wing fluttering. I wouldn't worry just yet about not feeling the movement.
BTW- CONGRATS!

If this is your first you might not feel it for another month or so. It generally takes overweight woman a lot longer to feel the movements, where as underweight or very thin women can feel them quite early.

It varies greatly from woman to woman. I didn't feel mine until almost 22 weeks (we're 36 weeks now and I'd give anything for him to stop kicking for a few minutes!). At least, if I did, I didn't realize it was him.

Good luck and congratulations!
