Yes, and I am still Catholic! I think it is an interesting story line and it made for an interesting movie. But, I don't believe it would shake your faith in your religion, unless you didn't have faith to begin with. (fair warning, there are subtitles!!)

Yes! While it was obviously nowhere as good as the book (didn't expect it to be, they never are), it was still an engaging and enjoyable movie. I didn't think Tom Hanks did all that great, but he didn't suck, either. A few major plot changes, but I can see why some stuff had to be left out, just for the time constraints.
I heard a lot of hoopla about a disclaimer being added to the movie, but unless it was at the end of the credits, there wasn't one on the movie I saw. Crowded theatre, no protesters, happy viewers as they exited, no big deal.

Yah I saw it this weekend and I wasnt greatly amused. I just read the book last weekend, and I thought the movie was way too similar to the book. It was like word for word the same, and the whole movie I knew exactly what everyone was going to say and do. Nothing about it affended me, and I think little Sofie is going to be the next Nancy Drew.

SPOILER ALERT!!! DON"T READ THIS UNLESS YOU SAW THE MOVIE!!! Yeah! It was pretty good. I hadn't read the book, but I had figure everything out in the first half hour. I could tell that Lee was the Teacher, I could tell that the code was A-P-P-L-E, and I could tell that Sophie was the descendant of Christ.
