Do Man U fans support Man City?.....the difference is the same - we are not on the same team, if we were it would be The UK at the world cup.

I've never expected Scots or Irish to support us. I always know given the History between us they never will. The Scots and Irish always love to see us get a good kicking cos we're the arrogant nation in the UK.
Buts its great to watch at least one UK nation get in the world cup and I'd love to see more Irish and Scottish victories and qualifications it's just so more fun with all 3 in case we get drawn against each other. England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Northern Ireland should all qualify because its just a more competetive atmosphere if they do I reckon the rest of the world loves to watch England get kicked by a fellow UK nation like Scotland or Northern Ireland.
I'm still and England supporter but I'll support any UK nation in the world cup. Just asking for a bit of respect cos England qualified fair and square losing to Northern Ireland along the way but we get critiscm from the Scots and Irish cos they didn't which is a bit unfair.
Who cares which country their from in the UK their from the Uk so cheer them anyway.
Still 3 Lions on the Shirt! Come on England!

i am Scottish and i wont be supporting England . there are 32 teams in the world cup and the only team to have all ready booked their world cup parade day is England. what does that say about them. i love it when the English media build them all up so they think its going to be so easy then they get knocked out as usual and every one gets the blame except their crap team .yes they will get through the first round but they wont win it will they and when they do get knocked out i will be having a wee drink laughing at all the excuses then we will have to watch the 66 final again for another 4 years

England thinks that they represents the UK, as there are no Scott land, Ireland and Wale team left to represent UK.
I also think, if only Scottish team left to represents the UK, you might think that others ought to support you, though you might not be the team they choose to support, but for the seek of UK that is understandable.
by the way, why is England, Wales, Scottish and Ireland team instead of UK ?

I agree with the second answer; I have many scottish mates and they cheer for us when we're playing as well we do for them... all this :All English hate scotts and vice versa" is just a bloody cliche...
It's the germans we don't like and that only in football. And I don't know any English fan or true football fan cheering if the USA won it... knock on wood and hope this will never happen... death of the sport

I don't want the Scottish to support England in the World Cup - that would be patronising.

We don't need the support of the scotts,its just when scotts make statements that they want every other team to beat us,if they kept their mouths shut in the first place we wouldn't have to have this question.

my boyfriend is scottish and he brought an england shirt when i did. i think he felt a bit left out. i don't mind if he don't support england though. i am half scottish but don't support scotland. i haven't really got time. you should only support your own team.
