I am going to get a predatory catfish, something with long whiskers.

Then I'm going to put it in a 200 liter aquarium and put a school of guppies in as well. The catfish will have lots of food to eat!

I might put some barbs in as well (I don't like barbs).

Anyone else every contemplated keeping predatory pets? like keeping a snake and feeding it live mice?

put some f**cing neon tetras in there as well they annoy me.

i was thinking of buying some red bellied piranhas in a 200 litre tank and breeding guppies in a smaller 80 litre tank (free food) then release about 10 at a time into the tank, then IL sit down in front of the tank with some popcorn and watch the show.

I keep 2 snakes. One eats frozen/thawed mice. The other eats live medium-large rats. I also keep 2 leopard geckos that eat a couple dozen live crickets a couple times a week. I like your idea though, I was thinking about keeping an aquarium with fish in it, but I have the hardest time keeping fish alive.

I have a foot long gar (kind of like a fresh water barracuda) that eats guppies, goldfish, his tank mates, everything.

I also have had quite a few reptiles and amphibians that ate live crickets and mealworms.

I would get a snake, but my husband isn't too fond of them.

most snake owners actually feed the snakes frozen mice because they have less of a risk of hurting the snake that way
We have red eyed tree frogs - they eat crickets..

I've always wanted a snake...just cause they're cool though, not particularly to watch them eat mice...

Have a great day...
