Just recently, my Sims 2 game has started to act up. I really don't want to uninstall it and start all over on the families I have worked so long on. The Icons for the work and school part are gone. And when they talk the pictures aren't in the little bubbles. Plus the Nanny is bugged. She gave a toddler a bath for eight hours straight almost, then she died along with the toddler... Is there anything I can do to save my sims but fix the problem too?

I would take the advice of either of the two that posted. Get the patch by downloading it, or just go get a new game. I mean the worst that could happen is you loose 30$-40$ but you gaina new game! I never had a child die- must have been awful but you arn't the only one suffering from bugs. I can only have twins in strangetown and I have what is called "first born syndrom when all of my children come out looking exactly the same. I tend to marry townies but I was told when in CAS to use the genetic thingy to mix all of the genes up so that the kids would come out differently. Good luck whatever you do. But to tell you the truth I don't think any patch could fix the things you are having trouble with.

Try the patch. If that doesn't work, sadly, you will have to reinstall.

I know how you can solve the problem. Take your CD out of the console, get a sledgehammer, and........Do I really have to spell it out for you????
