There are so many levels to this question. Spiritual poverty? A lack of faith? Therefore a lack of caring for others? Mental poverty? Lack of schooling or education. Lacking reasoning or critical thinking skills? Emotional poverty? being too much in the head and not balancing it with heart. A lack of mercy in dealing with law? Physical poverty? Lack of physical requirements for the body's survival? Financial poverty? lack of money (a unit of exchange)?

No, at least not in my lifetime.

Governmental leaders need to be honest and fair and those requirements are being subjective. The powerful nations constantly send out aid to many countries (even if it is used as bribery on the political level). The countries receiving aid have in most cases a corrupt government that just simply pockets the contributions, or severely limits who can do what, where.

So, thinking holistically, the entire global community needs to change. It is possible, but not at this time.

As for the communism - no ******* way, doesn't work, been proved. I recommend Atlas Shrugged to Candi, it's a huge book but definitely worth getting through. The things communism does to people! Not a way, ever.. !!

When everybody feels a much greater responsibility for the state of the planet, that would be the beginning of the end of poverty. However, I don't see that coming any time soon, some of us still aren't able to even recycle properly, we are just too short-sighted..

This is a collaborative effort between richer nations and governments.
Whether or not we find a solution to this problem... is anyone's guess.
In countries where there's overpopulation like Indonesia, China & India, land is getting scarce and most families have more than 3 kids with barely enough wage to get through their lives.
It also boils down to making education compulsory & available at an affordable rate for these impoverished families.

Do chickens have teeth?

Is the Pope Protestant?

Does the Sun rise in the West?

When all three of the above happen simultaneously, that is when poverty will end.

In the biblical sense yes. Meaning that after all events have taken place in scripture the Just will reign with Christ in the new heaven and on the earth. There will be no poverty then.

However(Jesus said) it is written:

Matthew 26:11
The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me.

So...no not in this life.

There are two answers to this:

1) Yes, if the human race wakes up eventually, stops wasting money on wars, luxuries, religions and space exploration and begins to care for the future of their own and of this planet.

2) No, if things stay as they are now.
