I was going to suggest Eragon and Eldest because I have read and loved them. I can't wait until the third book and the movie come out! Read the Lord of the Rings series, and if you are into sci-fi fantasy, read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. It is a GREAT book!!!!!

Look up all books by Dave Duncan. He's got a couple of great series out there.
Stephen Donaldson's original series about Thomas Covenant is also fantastic.
If you like something a little light, try David Eddings.

ummmm... Anything by Tamora Pierce is good. If your into sci-fi fantasy, I would try books by Scott Westerfield or Marianne Curley. They write some of my favorite books.

Harry Potter. Yeah I know, I used to make fun of them too, but once you start reading them they are really good. There's a lot of them, so it should keep you busy for a while!
