Well, if it's clogged with dirt and dust, a small, ANTI-STATIC vacuum attachment, combined with a can of compressed air, can save a fan.

If it's too late, then replace the fan. A site with a ton of fans is (www.newegg.com)

Of course, if it's under warranty, just make a claim. If not, and you're not too technical, you may want to get a technical friend or tech support to do it for you.

Go to your computer manufacturer's support or help site. Download or view the owner's manual/repair manual for your computer model. It'll have text and photos to get to the fan.

Once you access fan, a can of air will usually work.

Turn off the computer, unplug it and take the back off, take the fan out and clean it if its not too difficult or use the blow system of your vacumn and clean it that way.

Carefully remove it from the case, make sure you are grounded first, then take a sweeper with a brush attachment and remove the dust, wipe any places there is dust, reinstall. If it does die, new ones only cost about 5.00 to 10.00 bucks

buy a can of air and spray fan with air to clean it off can us on whole computer just don't get it to close that there is a lot of air presure pushing on your componites.
